My goal and purpose of the trip is to expose my students to real-world experiences. The students seldom get a chance to get exposed to places that are outside of Alabama. At Carowinds’ Educational Day, the students will be involved in activities that will be linked to our state curriculum. The students will see and learn about real world examples of velocity, speed, and acceleration of the roller coasters. They will see how physics and mathematics are linked together. I would enjoy seeing the reactions on my students’ faces as they see how roller coasters are built, and the math that is involved to create the speed, twists, drops, and turns.
