This leaving to learn activity will begin with our students riding through the beautiful roads of Sonoma County to reach Jack London State Historic Park. At the park, they will be immersed in local history while visiting the House of Happy Walls Museum and the Jack and Charmain Londons’ historic Cottage where Jack penned many of his later books. They will also take a guided walk to explore examples of Jack’s agricultural innovations such as the Pig Palace, Winery Ruins and Stone Barns. This visit will go hand in hand with a project related to Jack London, local history, and local agriculture.
