My school has a free and reduced lunch rate of 80% and 89% of our students are minorities. They have not been given very many different visual art experiences; the schools in our district do not have the budget to buy different art supplies. They are very creative and when given the opportunity they create amazing artwork. Some of these students do not experience success in the core classrooms, therefore being successful in the artwork increases their self confidence.
