The products I have selected will allow my students of multiple learning levels to have the opportunity to grasp the necessary curriculum. They will help students connect ideas and integrate their knowledge so that they gain a deep understanding of mathematical concepts such as fractions, as well as problem-solving. Algebraic equations come to life by ways of tiles or round discs, engaging students in another level of understanding and bringing the lesson home. As an English Language Learner, as most of my students are, word problems can be quite challenging-but the use of classroom manipulatives creates opportunities for students from various backgrounds to understand the lesson.
