A bee costume is a special way to show how we can BEE happy at SES! We can also use the mascot at festivals and other events to get attention to our wonderful school. This mascot costume will also help support and be a happy face for some of our students who struggle with attendance and need additional support. I have seen how a friendly face can positively affect our students' work and demeanor and hope that the additional options will help us grow even more! One example of how we use the mascot is to have the bee greet students at the front door to encourage reluctant students to come in, change their negative attitude to a positive and have a great start to their school day. We have one stinger mascot at assemblies to get the students excited for a pep rally for the PARCC exam.
