We need Scholastic Magazine and Storyworks. Often times the reading materials provided for our students are irrelevant to them. These reading materials will allow them to read about things they find interesting and that they can relate to in a non-traditional form of text. Students love getting the opportunity to read a magazine or an article that isn't in a text book. It really helps them connect with the world around them. Many students don't enjoy reading from a book, whether it's a text book or not. But having a pamphlet or a magazine is more exciting to them and encourages them to read and they actually enjoy whatever they're reading.

About my class
