I would like to update our old iPads that are no longer able to be updated. They are not compatible with programs our system has provided to incorporate literacy and math with technology. In the past, we had success with these programs and due to technology updates, my classroom technology is no longer useful. We live in a digital world, and in past years students have shown much interest in learning using technology. This year I have been unable to allow the use of the old iPads because they no longer allow the use of many of the apps we have available. With these programs,​ I am able to assign lessons based on individual student needs and monitor how well they are doing in each area. I am able to send these results to parents and monitor the amount of time spent working in particular curriculum areas. We could also use another app where students upload pictures of hands-on activities throughout the day for parents to see. I hate to see this group of students not be able to enjoy technology the way it can be used to better their education.
