My students have a variety of learning needs to be successful. Flexible seating will improve academic success by allowing my students the opportunity to collaborate with their peers in a comfortable and welcoming climate. These materials will help my students get opportunities for success by improving focus, attention, meaningful discussions, and overall building connections and peer relationships. The population I teach is economically disadvantaged which includes a lack of financial means. Many of my students are in need of eyewear and have trouble seeing key information being taught throughout their daily lessons. With these items, my students will become more motivated to be involved and improve their learning. The items needed will help these students be successful in an already tough climate. The lapboards and clipboards will make it easy for my students to stay on task and focused on the lesson or activities. The mix of seating will help with sitting closer to the board as well as create an environment that increases their desire to learn and succeed. I truly believe this will help my students in their academic achievements, and we will have the chance to grow as a learning community more and more!
