Children need to run and play and let their energy out. By allowing them to have bouncy bands and wobble chairs they can have a chance to let some of their energy out while still learning and being engaged in the lesson! The chairs and bands will make a difference because the students can continue to work and won't feel the need to go get a tissue as a means to let out their wiggle jiggles! We work in groups and will take turns utilizing the new flexible seating on a rotating basis as well as in my guided groups where I work with struggling students who may have attention difficulties. By allowing them to shake and wiggle they will be happier and more excited to come to math class!
