My students will explore, learn, take risks, and discover who they are as student leaders. I am hoping to expand learning with more access to technology per student by having 2 more student iPads to dedicate to independent learning in math, reading and more individualized academic areas. Literacy is our foundation. For the unique learners in my class, the students are not ready for independent reading due to the fact that most are needing specialized unique opportunities to practice the skills needed. My plan is to front-load as many reading experiences as possible by listening/comprehension reading centers/stations using iPads that they will be able to interact with to access many different grade-appropriate titles as they start on their journey to becoming readers and leaders. The iPads in this fundraising effort will also be used to give them opportunities to access their individualized math lessons for math workstations as well. This project will empower students to see themselves as successful, productive learners in the classroom. The access to iPads allows students to work at their own pace and track their progress through reading and math programs.
