Can you imagine coming to school each day knowing you will be an important part of the team? I love allowing students to work in groups to learn from each other. It is so exciting to see students talking, problem solving, and growing along side each other. These tables, chairs, and seating options will allow students to be working in teams to grow confidence and skills. The tables I currently have don't allow for enough groups or groups that are an ideal size for first grade discussion and learning. I would like to have space for groups to collaborate and still be able to move about the room comfortably. I had desks previously but wanted to make the change to tables to better fit my teaching style. I found tables from around our school to make the switch but would like to make the arrangement even better and be able to have more flexibility when working with diverse groups. My current tables would then be a tool in our shared first grade space and give us more flexibility when doing math and reading rotations among our three first grade classes. I am so excited about what will happen around these tables!
