My seventh-grade students struggle with reading as well as participating in the classroom because they do not feel confident enough. The guided reading books I am requesting will focus on guided reading groups in order for my students to receive one on one attention specifically directed to their needs. The whiteboards will help my students become active in the classroom and the headphones will help them focus when they're working on Lexia--a wonderful online reading program. I work one on one with my students a lot as well as incorporate different stations so my students learn to work together, independently and become more confident in their own skills. By donating to our project, you won't just be supporting a teacher to help support her students, but you'll be giving my students the opportunity to grow and achieve their goals. These materials will help my students focus in the classroom and receive the support they need to achieve academic success.
