These materials will make a huge difference in my students' learning by giving them a more accessible text and a better understanding of the language used by Shakespeare. While Romeo and Juliet is a difficult text, No Fear Shakespeare provides a direct translation of the materials and the graphic novels will really help to scaffold my lower-level readers. As they are able to easily follow the plot development, they can begin to understand the literary devices and overall meaning of the play! We currently have multiple English 9 teachers, making it difficult to share copies of books. We also struggle with keeping books in good shape as they are used by so many different classes. Your help will allow me to keep the books in my classroom so they last longer for more students!
