Having the right tools for education is essential but for many of my students households the funds needed for calculators is not feasible due to a limited income going to household basics. These calculators will be given to 9th grade AVID students to use at home and school for homework. This essential tool will not only benefit the student for the current school year but also years to follow. Calculators can be used for mathematics and science classes but also for college entry exams like PSAT, SAT, and ACT. Our goal is to get kids prepared for their academics for the next four years and beyond which includes the proper tools to be successful.
