The goal of flexible seating is to allow students to choose where they work and with whom. It allows them to change their location and position as well for more success in the classroom. Flexible seating also provides students with comfort, allowing them to focus for large periods of time. This results in higher academic achievement. Flexible seating will engage my students and motivate them to learn everyday. Flexible seating allows students to wobble, rock, and bounce, which increases the oxygen flow to the brain. This allows young minds to stay alert and focused, especially students with ADD/ADHD. Flexible seating will help me to reach the needs of all students in my classroom.
