We utilize centers every day. However, good time is lost with handling materials at each center. With these additions, our centers will be more streamlined and accessible to my kids. They will feel more independent and have more time to learn. Each center rotation currently takes 2 minutes to transition to. It does not sound like much, but with 5 groups that amounts to 10 minutes; 10 minutes I could dedicate to another rotation, or furthering our whole-group instruction. I want the best for my students. The best entails maximizing their learning time, and with this classroom organization I could give them that.
