Throughout the year, I will use the notebooks, chart paper, and highlighters to help the students gain practice in writing answers to text-dependent analysis questions/written responses. These types of questions are pertinent for the students to learn how to answer since they (these types of questions) will be on the statewide assessment (that all of the students will need to take) in the Spring. I will use the classroom laminator to laminate words for our word wall in reading, writing, and science. The pocket folders will help the students to conduct science experiments and keep track of their science notes. Having such resources as these for my students to use and learn will help them to attain their academic goals this year through practice and persistence. Most importantly, these school supplies/materials will assist in enabling my students to learn and prep for statewide assessments.
