First grade students are so creative, imaginative, busy, and eager to learn! Our school provided curriculum is great for teaching the skills, but can tend to be boring paper and pencil activities only. I supplement our school curriculum with materials I purchase online on the daily basis, including activity packets, posters, learning centers, words for pocket charts and word walls, decorations for the seasons, arts and crafts, games and math manipulatives. However, I am limited in what I may copy at school and every copy must only be in black and white. With a color printer, I could create supplemental, eye-catching instructional posters, learning stations, word walls, educational games and math manipulatives that I could laminate and use for years to come! Gaining student interest and keeping it is a challenge in the younger grades. Colorful, supplemental materials help engage interest and learning. I could also print the pictures that I am often taking for student keepsakes and parent gifts. I would love the students to have the opportunity to print the books and projects that they create! The students and I would be very appreciative if you could help us by providing a color printer for our classroom. Thank you!
