My students are primarily low income, and I utilize real world examples to make sense to them, especially my ESOL kids. We are currently on atomic theory, and as you can imagine, many people have such a difficult time imagining things they cant see. Utilizing the models will assist students to be hands-on the atom, so to speak. It is an amazing moment when you see the glow of understanding light up their faces! They are so happy to share their learning when they have come upon that moment of clarity, and these needed materials will assist my students in putting their practical knowledge to use.
