Use of the laptop and projector adds a twist to the physical education setting, while changing the monotony. Physical Education has evolved to being more than just a setting where the teacher rolls the balls out and allows kids to run all over the place. In addition, there are visual learners who learn from use of pictures, images and spatial understanding, aural learners who better comprehend from sound and music, verbal learners who better understand from the use of words in both speech and writing and also physical (kinesthetic) learners who acquire information from using their body, hands and sense of touch. I naturally cover the physical and spatial learners through teaching spatial awareness and how to move body during physical activity/game play. Nevertheless, use of a laptop connected with projector will enable to reach the entire class and better serve our verbal and aural learners. Many classroom teachers utilize educational videos as a tool for helping students learn any and everything. Studies have shown that he use of short video clips allows for more efficient processing and memory recall. The visual and auditory nature of videos appeals to a wide audience and allows students time to process information in a way that’s natural to them. Videos can be stopped and replayed as as many times as needed, they can also be reviewed long after the initial lesson was taught increasing knowledge retention. Allowing lessons to be interactive and hands-on will help increase proficiency in digital literacy and communication.
