I teach in a portable classroom. In order to get printed materials, I have to leave my class and go the the 4th grade workroom. This means I either have to make a trip in while my class waits (unsupervised), or I have to wait to get the printouts until recess, lunch, or another time when students are not in the classroom. Neither of these options work well due to wasted learning time. If I have a printer right in my room, I can get the printouts/ copies I (or my students) need with no delay or wasted time. I also am hoping to receive funding to get a ten-key data entry pad. This will make it easier to enter grades into Skyward, which will help me keep my students, and their parents, informed of their academic progress.
