I plan on working with the staff at my school to start using the Sensory Pathway on a daily basis for all 650 of our students. We have a variety of students in the general education and the special education classrooms that could benefit from a sensory hallway to help reduce anxiety, stress, and give the sensory input they may need. I am asking for a variety of sensory path decals and a Sensory Room Tile Multi-Color, Liquid Encased Floor Playmat. This sensory pathway and exercise mat will provide students with specific proprioceptive input that relates the pressure, and can be obtained by lifting, pushing, and pulling heavy objects, including one’s own body weight and vestibular input that relates to movement, and can be obtained by swinging, running, jumping and climbing. We also have students that are on the Autism spectrum in both the general education and special education classrooms that need that gross motor sensory input outside of their classrooms.
