This course will focus on music technology and music industry aspects so that students can better understand how music is created, produced, recorded, and mixed as well as ways that it is marketed and used in films, television, videos and advertisements. Some projects and course work for this class will require active listening to music and aspects of music production. Many students enrolled in these classes are not able to afford quality headphones that are needed to be able to properly hear high quality sounds that are standard in the industry and to encourage a possible career in sound engineering.
