Kindergarten is all about firsts! Their first day of big kid school, first time in the lunch room, first time in the library, and lots more! I love reading and being able to share my love of reading with my students. They have fallen in love with books this year! I would love to have my very own classroom library and be able to help my students grow and appreciate books and reading. I feel that sometimes the children need to be able to escape the day and what better way than to find a great book and read! It allows them to use their imagination but also helps expose them to new words and vocabulary each time they open a new book. The students will be able to check the books out and take them home to share with their families. I am hoping my project is funded to be able to share the love of literacy and learning for many years with the children that come through my classroom.
