Every day my students gather at our calendar space to review the schedule, as well as practice a variety of skills and concepts. For our native English speakers, it is an enriching and challenging experience to learn academic content taught in Spanish; for our native Spanish speakers, our immersion program allows them to gradually learn English while accessing academic content in their native language. Because of the unique nature of our two-way immersion program and the high demand for it, our class sizes tend to be larger and it can be a challenge to find room to accommodate so many students. By helping us purchase a rug, you will be helping to ensure that every student in this class will have a place to sit and learn in an inclusive classroom environment. At a very fundamental level, it is essential that all students have an adequate space to learn. Thank you for your contributions. We truly appreciate them.
