The StudySync curriculum created by McGraw Hill gives students an opportunity to work at their own pace online at a level that is appropriate for them. I can also adjust the settings to meet my students’ academic needs. Some of my students are struggling readers and score low on the universal assessments. StudySync provides them with an opportunity to read a text that is centered on the same topic but is available at their reading level. At the same time, if my students wanted to read the same material as the rest of the class, they could choose to do so by using the audio option available that enables students to adjust the speed of the reader. The audio books are read by actors, and some of the instructions are even provided in the students’ native language, including languages like Haitian Kreyol. Finally, StudySync provides a diverse array of literature from men and women of a diverse cultural background, which means students are exposed to everything from Edgar Allan Poe, Walter Dean Myers, Emily Dickinson Shakespeare, Sandra Cisneros, and Sharon G. Flake. The headphones would enable students to take full advantage of the StudySync program since it would enable them to watch the video lessons and listen to the audio text. I hope that you will consider donating to my classroom so that I can provide my students with a better learning experience.
