I'm in need of a computer to best suit the needs of my students with disabilities. Technology has been very difficult to come by in my building. Between students needing laptops for assessments and teachers being short on laptops for instruction, there isn't much left for service providers and additional specialists in the building. This doesn't include the computers that are in the building, but do not function at all. As my personal computer becomes full and is beginning to give me the fatal warning sign, I have come up with the perfect resource that could solely be used for the kids. Funding this project will allow students in the special education program one location for their files, assessments, and any other pertinent information. If information needs to be shared with my team, they can simply use a flash drive to access what is needed. Or, during presentations and meetings, I can pull up and project information using the projector. Additionally, while visiting classrooms, students will also be able to utilize the computer for educational tasks relating to student achievement. We've reached a point where the technology either needs to be updated because the current technology is slowly fading fast. The programs that are needed require functions that my personal computer is not able to address. With this resource, accessing and creating files can become much easier. I am hoping that you can help bring my project to life!
