Our students are given the opportunity to participate in recess for 20 minutes everyday. With this grant, we can provide a recess bag comprised of 6 balls to every teacher to utilize during their recess time. Recess is a brain break for a child, and helps inside the classroom by maintaining focus and attention. The playground balls will open up the minds of students to create games, or play games like four square or kickball, which foster the development of social-emotional skills, learning to share, cooperation, and meet new friends. These skills are essential for a child's development inside and outside of the classroom, and continue to be important throughout their lifetime.

About my class
