When you read children's books, do you see yourself reflected in them? Are there characters that look like you did as a child? Each student deserves to see themselves reflected in literature, to allow them to become truly submerged into magical literary worlds. Unfortunately, many of our community bookshelves still lack books with diverse characters. When our students read books, we want them to be inspired by seeing our diverse community reflected in literature. By helping us fill our bookshelves with books that our kids can see themselves in, you will help them discover themselves, you'll help them wonder and you'll help them build their dreams.
