During this field trip, 4th-grade scholars will find out what it really costs in time, money and energy to have their own zoo exhibit. Many of my 4th-graders have pets they care for, but don't know how much it really takes to care for them. My 4th-graders will be charged with finding out what it costs to have their own zoo or exhibit with exotic animals. My goal during this trip is to open my scholars' eyes to the real-world costs to fully take care of someone or something else, as we as teachers, parents, and school administrators do daily.
