We are using the new tracing materials during our literacy and fine-motor centers, where students practice letter formation, name writing, and early handwriting skills. One of our favorite moments is watching students proudly trace their letters and then use the eraser-to-erase method to try again—this has helped them understand that mistakes are part of learning and that practice makes progress.\r\n\r\nWhen the students first saw the materials, they were so excited! They couldn't wait to get started and were eager to explore their new tools. Many of them asked, \"Can I try again?\" or \"Can I do one more?\" which showed just how motivating these resources have been for them.\r\n\r\nThe folders you provided have also made a huge difference. Students now use them to organize and take home homework and important papers, helping build responsibility and strong school-to-home connections.\r\n\r\nNext, our students will continue using these resources as we work on improving handwriting stamina, letter-sound connections, and independent work habits. These tools are supporting confidence, independence, and a love for learning in our classroom—and that wouldn't be possible without you. I didn't anticipate how much I would love this group in that short amount of time. They adjusted to the way I did things in comparison to the teacher who left, and then they had to turn around and do it again when their permanent teacher was hired. Your support made their transition a little easier, they knew they had the basic supplies they needed to do their work and be successful while adjusting to their new teacher and her way of doing things.\r\n\r\nThank you for investing in the lives of these exceptionally hard-working first-grade students. They persevered without a permanent teacher for 2 months, then they were doubly blessed with a dedicated teacher in January and supplies you so graciously provided in February.
