Every six weeks, our campus dedicates the school P.E. time to targeted fitness regimens. We call these weeks, "Fitness Week." I am committed to teaching our students new ways to work out, strive for great health and have fun while doing so. I am aware that there are exercises that do not require additional equipment, but I am passionate about giving students new ways to achieve physical health. I believe that long term this will help our students not only be creative with fitness, but think creatively holistically. Enjoyment is also a motive behind providing our students with new equipment. We will use the fitness equipment to help the kids exercise and hopefully learn to enjoy exercise to enrich their lives. The scoop ball and rampshot are used when we are teaching throwing skills. I never like the kids to simply throw, I always try to make teaching specific skills a fun game to get the kids as engaged as possible. All this equipment is used to get the kids active to help them find new ways to be active and to learn that being active and exercising can be fun, and that there are tons of options to look into to be healthy and active.
