Providing choices in a student-centered classroom environment is crucial in a child's education. Every child has a unique learning style, and these differences should be celebrated as well as accommodated. I want my students to feel comfortable in my classroom and take risks in their learning. A 21st century learning environment is found in flexible seating. My students deserve to have the choice of different seats. Over the course of the next few months, I hope to have a transformed classroom that gives my students the opportunity to learn at their highest potential. Allowing students the gift of choice empowers them to take ownership and responsibility for their learning/education.
