One of my goals in my classroom is to provide a safe and empowering environment where my students can learn from each other. However, these things are hard to do when basic needs are not met, such as coming to school hungry or not having sanitation items at home. Therefore, through this project I am hoping to acquire a few basic supplies that can feed my kids, keep them clean, and help improve their quality of life. In order to maximize their learning, it is also necessary that I have basic school supplies. Many of my students come to school without pencils or erasers, so it is imperative that I have these supplies in my classroom. Additionally, basic resources such as printer paper can be scarce. Thus, I am also requesting some printer paper so my students can practice their mathematical fluency both inside and outside the classroom for homework.
