My students range from above, on, and below grade. They require different strategies and modalities of learning in order to best apply their skills and understanding. When practicing math facts or spelling words, I allow my students to write on the table we currently have with dry-erase markers, which is not necessarily practical. I have seen positive results in their academic performance after using this strategy. However, we need a table that is MEANT for this strategy, and we won't have to worry about staining or ruining as we continue to use it for this purpose. A markertop, interactive activity table will provide an appropriate surface and location for my students to continue using strategies that work for them, whether they are working independently or collaboratively, or with small, teacher-led groups.
