Kitchen appliances and equipment are essential in our goal to prepare students for independent living. Cooking and baking like pizza, waffles and as simple as eggs that will help get through their daily lives. Independent living is an essential aspects of special education. Students with special needs prepare to deal with day to day life independently. They learn to care for themselves and be able to integrate themselves to the society. I saw the effects of independent living skills to my students. They appreciate their parents more and it improves their self-esteem. They are happy by knowing that they can do it!

About my class
