The materials and supplies that I am requesting for my students will help them to build fluency in reading and confidence in class. The laminating pouches will be used to laminate different centers and their awards. The carpet will be placed in the front of the classroom and used as a read out loud for small group gathering and a place where students can read to self. The printing ink will allow the materials to be printed in color which aid in retention of material covered in class. The listening center with books helps students develop fluency, expression, and comprehension skills. A listening center in the classroom can help support reader focus and build student confidence, which translates to success. The leveled books will spark students interest in their favorite topics.
