The materials needed are to help my students get a jump start on their service-learning projects. In service-learning, students learn to tackle real-life problems in their community. Students will research and find an actual community need to serve. This project will allow our students to experience a deep personal understanding of the importance of the service project as well as their ability to make a change and impact lives. My students are choosing: 1. To create a craft 2. Sell these at the Holiday Sale 3. Use the earned money to donate to their choice of charity. A few projects include a bake sale, making beaded bracelets, making felt hats, making baby fleece blankets, and making blankets for the Humane Societies dog and cat kennels.
