This is my first year as an English teacher. I am so excited to share my love of reading with 5th and 6th graders. I have been scouring yard sales, thrift shops, libraries and scholastic for books all summer. When I arrived in my classroom, I was greeted with one little shelf...which broke. If books are windows to other worlds and adventures, my broken little shelf is a mountain some of them just can't climb. My students are so excited about all of the new books that I've been bringing to our classroom, but quickly become frustrated digging through boxes, bags, or daring to use the treacherous shelf. Please help us organize our classroom library. We are studying different genres and need a way to house all of these wonderful books.
