In our history class, we teach students to view history from various perspectives and encourage our students to question the validity of what is presented to them. We do this through rich discussions and analysis of primary and secondary sources. For this reason, we do not rely solely on textbooks because we do not want to limit their learning. Due to limited school funding, we do not have enough technology, such as full classroom sets of computers, to show these sources in color, which is important when looking at images and historical documents from various time periods. A color printer will make it accessible for students to have a printed version of historical documents. Additionally, it will make materials accessible to my visual learners. The wireless capability will allow all students to print from anywhere in the room. Students will also be able to print out project-based work to be displayed in the classroom.
