Second grade students require a lot of supplies but they have not yet mastered their organizational skills. Chair pockets would allow my students to have their materials stored near them without taking up so much space in their desks. It would help us save classroom instructional minutes if they can quickly grab what they need right at their desk. Having these supplies at their seat will save time with locating needed supplies for a lesson and not having to leave their desk and walk to the supply area of the classroom. These pockets will also help my students learn organizational skills by keeping their supplies neat and learning to keep only the supplies that they need, not extra things!

About my class
