All kids want to learn and grow. The pandemic has been a hindrance to that need. Reading plays a critical role in a student's success. We are starting a new school year, and continuing to implement independent reading time. The books I have chosen are intended to ignite that passion kids have through various topics. It only takes one book to make a difference in a kid. Through these books, they will encounter new worlds and curiosities. Ultimately, the book they choose will create new opportunities not only in 6th grade but through the rest of the years.
