In Pre-K everything is best learned through hands on activities. I serve in a low income school where resources to families are scarce at home. I do not want this to limit what they are capable of learning.
These Pre-K students are our future, and the future is very technology-based, so I want to help get them there now - I want them to start loving to learn and make their first experience at school one that will make them love school!
The digital microscopes would help bring science to a whole new level for them. This will hopefully aid to ignite their curiosity in learning.
The hot dots will also not only help them learn but give them a sense of independence in the centers. They will continue to explore through LEGOs, to create, use their imagination and build on that throughout the year.
The reading tent will help my students who are not used to having books, maybe find that reading can be fun and enjoyable by reading in there.
We also do many projects throughout the year to showcase their authentic learning and abilities. I like to laminate some of those projects so that parents can keep them as memories for years to come!
