Having different seating options in my classroom can give my students a place to relax and unwind. A place to take a time out when they are frustrated or reward for good behavior. My students don't come from a great background and being able to reward them for listening and following directions will make my students want to learn and work harder. When they come in and want to grab a book, what better place to go then sit on a carpet or comfy seat instead of their hard desk and chairs? I want them to feel welcomed and see how much I care about them.
