All of our students love to create new ideas in as many opportunities as they are given. Musical ideas can be created with more than just a voice or notes on a page. These sand blocks will allow my students to use rhythmic instruments in order to add special effects and sounds to the music they not only learn in class but also music that they create. Students will be able to utilize these sand blocks when creating music in the classroom and also during performances for our school and community. Special effects just add to a piece of music or ensemble. The ones we have in the classroom have seen the end of their days or are close to it. Replacing them will give my students more tools in order to enhance their musical abilities and talents.
