Students who need extra practice in listening and speaking (mostly English learners) use programs which allow them to do this using programs already provided by the school. They use programs such as Rosetta Stone and Read 180. Students enjoy the program, but they do not enjoy battling with the broken microphones available to them now. They are so motivated, that they spend many minutes adjusting it, whispering with love, or yelling into them. With new headsets with microphones, they will more effectively use their time in class for learning and reaching their goals in their use of academic English.
