The materials requested will help students to be prepared for class. We would have a printer to help produce copies of worksheets. Whenever a student comes to class without a pencil, that student might not be able to fully participate in class activities. To prevent this from happening, I want to be fully prepared to meet our students where they are lacking. The fractions and decimals manipulatives will help students to have a first hand knowledge of converting a decimal to a fraction and to recognize the positions that the numbers would occupy on a number line. Having all materials necessary for class helps us to have an environment that is conducive to learning.
