Every student deserves a chance to be AMAZING. Many schools do not have the resources to provide that extra PUSH students need to expand their thinking and creativity beyond the normal classroom setting. These Lego sets differ from the regular sets, because they allow the finished project to come alive through critical thinking and programming. STEM training in today's world is becoming more essential. Allowing all students to be introduced and engaged in a STEM related activity will hopefully open the door to a new world that most students are unaware of. Below are some goals that we plan on achieving using the Lego sets: • Extend student learning beyond the walls of the classroom. • Engage students in real-world problems by collaborating with others in the classroom and across the world. • Enable students to take responsibility for their own learning. • Provide students with the tools to be successful in their future endeavors in higher education and/or careers. • Provide equal access to technology and tools to all students in order to provide equal opportunities for all students. These Lego sets will be used by all students (K - 5) who come to Computer Lab Resource. We plan to use these sets to introduce and train all students in the areas of programming and robotics. Our goal is to spark interest, and increase participation in the annual Science Olympiad.
