This project is to help create a classroom library that has books that are relevant and current for my students. I want to help my students develop I love for reading and learning by providing them access to books that are not easily accessible on our school campus. Students will be able to read these books in Literature Circles and discuss what they learn from their reading. Students often struggle to connect to classics. These modern texts will help students connect classic texts to modern texts and see the evolution of the same ideas and themes. I strongly believe that giving students access to books that they relate to can increase learning and engagement in school.
