Social thinking focuses on helping kids figure out how to think in social situations. Kids are taught to observe and think about their own and others' thoughts and feelings. They also learn the connection between thoughts, feelings and behaviors. Students will be developing personalized journals that they will make themselves which will be unique to each student. Students LOVE to incorporate arts and crafts into the lessons! The project and instruction includes components of well-known and evidence based interventions such as Social Stories, social skill games, and others! Social skill training allows students to share ideas using compassion, empathy and perspective-taking.
